Now priced at just $10.00 (compare at $15.99), you save 37% while giving your plants a healthier start. Order today for sustainable gardening at a great price.
Each #3 6-Cell pot fits into standard 1020 flats. The pots are self-supporting and scored for easy separation, so you can plant each cell individually without disturbing roots.
Ideal for starting mixed garden packs, quick-transplant vegetables like lettuce and greens, and spring flowering annuals. They can be planted directly into the ground, reducing transplant shock. As they decompose, they add organic matter to the soil.
These pots are designed to fit snugly in 1020 trays (10x20 inches). They work with standard seed-starting setups and are suitable for indoor or greenhouse use.
Compared to peat pots, CowPots® are more sustainable (they use a waste product) and have better root penetration. They also eliminate plastic waste, making them a superior choice for eco-conscious gardeners.

Switching to CowPots® is an easy way to make your gardening more sustainable. These pots are made from composted cow manure, a waste product that would otherwise end up in landfills. When you plant them directly into the soil, they break down and release nutrients, improving your soil structure.
The #3 size is ideal for starting a variety of plants. The 6-cell format fits perfectly into 1020 flats, and the scored design makes it easy to separate individual cells. Your seedlings will thank you for the extra root space and the lack of transplant shock.
Take advantage of our 37% discount—only $10.00. Add coupon code GARDEN15 for an extra 15% off, and enjoy free shipping on orders over $45. This is the perfect time to go green and save green!
You can fit 4 CowPots #3 6-cell trays neatly in a standard 1020 flat (10x20 inches). This gives you 24 cells per flat, maximizing your space efficiently.
Each #3 6-cell tray is approximately 5.5 inches wide by 10 inches long and 2.5 inches deep. The cells are slightly tapered for easy removal.
CowPots are often considered better because they are made from a renewable waste product (composted cow manure), while peat is harvested from sensitive bogs. CowPots also have superior porosity, allowing better air and water flow to roots, and they break down more readily in soil.
Fill each cell with seed-starting mix, sow seeds, and water gently. Keep moist and provide warmth and light. When seedlings are ready, cut apart the cells and plant the entire pot into the garden; it will decompose naturally.
These pots are perfect for starting seeds. They are sturdy enough to hold soil, and I love that they are biodegradable. My seedlings have strong roots, and planting them directly in the ground is a breeze.
I like the idea of CowPots, and they work well, but they are not as sturdy as plastic pots and can get soggy if you overwater. Still, they are a good eco-friendly option.
I've used these for years. The fact that the entire pot goes into the ground means no root disturbance, and my plants grow faster. They are a bit pricey, but worth it for the environment.
These pots disintegrated before my seedlings were ready to transplant. They need to be handled carefully, and they don't hold up well to frequent watering. I'll stick to plastic.
I started my tomatoes and peppers in these, and they are doing wonderfully. The pots are a bit small, but they work. I love that I can plant them straight into the ground.
These pots are effective and biodegradable, but they are more expensive than plastic pots. However, if you're eco-conscious, these are a good choice.
I've used CowPots for several seasons now. They are strong enough to hold up during the growing season, and the roots penetrate the pot easily. Highly recommend.
These are much sturdier than peat pots and don't get moldy as easily. They break down well in the soil. I just wish they were a bit cheaper.
I tend to overwater, and these pots started to soften and lose shape. If you're careful with watering, they work fine, but they are not forgiving.
Great product! Durable, eco-friendly, and my seedlings love them. I ordered multiple packs and will be ordering more.
